Joe Joyce isn't great - he just outsmarted a novice

Funny how everyone was calling Joyce a bum but after beating Dubois, the same people think he's an ATG. I picked Joyce to win by KO because I know Dubois has nothing apart from his jab...once you take that away he's pretty much useless. Hence I've been saying he needs at least 2 more yrs before mixing with the big boys. As for Joyce: he's still the same slow cyborg - nothing has changed.

Joyce doesn't have a great jab - he just met a novice who couldn't counter/slip his jab and punish him. The fact that he kept leaning into his jab and Dubois couldn't punish him for that - is very telling. He has had the same average jab throughout his career and jab doesn't become great overnight. Dubois just made him look better than he's. And his chin is very good but definitely not the best in the division. Ruiz has the best chin and Rivas also has a better chin. Joyce was wobbled against Bryant Jennings by a short left hook and Jennings isn't known for his power.

Stop the madness. The man is still the same slow robot that's open to be hit and a brutal KO waiting to happen.

He is in a strange place. Won't be an easy night for anyone but you can't really see him turning it up a notch to make it at the top and non top guys will struggle to look good against him even if they win.

Yes, he's the watch he's. And hopefully he can land a big fight and make decent money before he retires. He's a very nice guy and deserves to be rewarded with good retirement funds since he's already 35.

Agreed...Joyce will get knocked out savagely because he's just too damn slow....every time he would shoot the jab to the body I thought the guy was gonna fall over on the floor face first....Dubois sucks because he couldn't take advantage of obvious flaws like that.

Dubois is a novice that thinks once you can throw a jab and throw big punches, you'd beat everyone. Then again, he's still a kid that had too much air blown up his arse because he beat a bum like Gorman.

He couldn't even slip a jab that was thrown in a way that any half-decent boxer would've countered with overhand right since Joyce was leaning into his jab.

Joyce's jab is sloppy and he would get sparked by anyone who's experienced with decent boxing skills (not a Wilder tho).
