Yeah but it seems there are a group of posters that seem to agree.

It’s utterly insane to think someone that has earned his shot needed to earn it more.

Now, what I find more disgusting, is he is the other titlist in the division and posters suggest he has to earn a unification fight.

Those same posters were in another thread supporting Oscar Delahoya's suggestion that Crawford face Vergil Ortiz as if Ortiz has earned it. Yet they'll say fighters like Haney, Charlo, or Andrade have to do more to get a big fight. Even though they all have a belt.


They are so transparent and it's obvious why they think this way. It is what it is.

people wanted to see lopez fight loma before he ever fought anyone. in fact before he even fought that japanese guy people were saying how loma should fight lopez. thats about where haney is in his career/level of opposition so why cant he fight one good fighter? just one. thats too much to ask? or his other route is to make lopez a tantalizing offer. he hasnt done either of these things . loma just lost so why not make him an offer now? should be easier to get him in the ring or wait haney is too good for loma now right? he cant fight guys coming off of losses...unless they are gamboa

and you dont think thats purposeful? campbell is ready and haney isnt. hearn is taking it slow with haney and trying to build him up. all this i want to fight loma and lopez is just rhetoric and bluster. why do you think no offers were ever made? hearn is not stingy with dazn's purse strings when he wants fights and yet hes happy to match haney with bums and shot fighters. pretty standard promoting. tank is doing the same thing just better

Haney earned the mando spot by winning the elimination fight. Why would he have to earn the fight more?

He was given the belt rather than given a shot to win it in the ring. It’s extremely unfair to hold that against him like you seem to be in this post.

Same with Charlo. He was the mando and didn’t get the shot. Now posters suggest he needs to win more to earn a shot he rightfully earned.
