It is an established fact to me...... I am well-experienced in seeing guys getting broken down, and Joshua was broken and he wanted out of there.I don't doubt if the ref had allowed the fight to carry on AJ would have gone back out and took another schlacking from Ruiz, which wouldn't be quitting.
I think he was pretty much defeated and concussed but whether he was quitting or was buying a timeout is disputable and certainly not an 'established fact'.
Seen the fight and stoppage 10/20 times at this point, and am totally and utterly convinced he quit.
So, where do we go from here? You can throw everything at me and every excuse in the book, say that he was trying to buy time like the guy before......... I know what I seen.
Joshua quit, wanted out of that ring. 100%.Comment

That's your opinion and you are certain it's correct, it's not a fact, you can't redefine words. It is an established fact to me...... I am well-experienced in seeing guys getting broken down, and Joshua was broken and he wanted out of there.

Tbh the more I think about it the more murky it becomes but being broken and defeated aint the same as quitting. Maybe I need to rewatch it because I remember him being not with it when the ref was talking to him which I put down to concussion.
Still stands only AJ will know if he quit or was buying time and which is a fact.Comment

He quit but I'm not sure it's apt to call him a quitter. He had good reasons to. I'm not sure what he gains by getting beat up even more.
I mean I'm sure many of us have told lies, but I don't think we'd like to be known as 'liar'.Comment
