This line of thinking will lead brave fighters who go out on their shield to be condemned for setting a bad example. It's a ****** way to think about what is essentially a blood sport. You want them to try to physically destroy each other but, oh, you want them to always leave the ring safely too? Too many conflicting criteria makes peoples logic go all wacky.Comment

I reckon Tris has had an elbow from Brick Top to write this article. Just trying to control the optics and turn a quit into some valiant effort.
Mr Bean and the rest of the Sky stooges did the exact same when Brook quit against Spence.
These so called “journalists” really need to start calling what they see.
Fair play to Haye and especially Frampton for calling a spade a spade after the fight.Comment

This guy QUIT BOTTOM LINE....the writer must be from the UK because this is so ****** to argue..he was up on the scorecards and would've gotten a gift decision had he fought on for 2 rounds.
Add that to the fact that he took a knee and didn't get up AT ALL.....ref is like "you wanna continue"....he is like " no sir". Kell Brook took a beating in the late rounds with Spence but HE GOT UP AT LEAST ONCE AND FOUGHT ON....Triple "knee" didn't do that....ONE AND DONE
And add to that the fact that the damage came from a man that is as slow as a damn turtle in quicksand....AND NOTHING BUT JABS....and you have a guy who I don't see doing a damn thing in the heavyweight division in 2 years or 10 years....DDD or triple knee Daniel Dubois never had any heart to begin with.
Its literally amazing that so many people actually thought this kid was a championship contender even as they watched him look mediocre against the UK bum scene....even in his knockouts.
What happens when this guy has to deal with a guy who has a blistering jab and a hard and fast right hand too? HE'S GONNA QUIT THEN TOO!! LOL...its so obvious.
HE IS A QUITTER....BOTTOM LINEComment

Well said. He had the option to continue, but he chose not to further jeopardize his health. Can’t blame Dubois for the choice he made. I really hope that he can recover well from this, both physically and mentally.Comment

Fully agree Dixon is a Warren man same as Colin Hart and Jeff PowellI reckon Tris has had an elbow from Brick Top to write this article. Just trying to control the optics and turn a quit into some valiant effort.

Only a dork would compare a samurai to a boxer. Don’t samurai’s also stab themselves in the gut and commit suicide to avoid dishonor? Fighting on with a severe injury to avoid criticism from dorks on the internet would have been the most cowardly thing that he could’ve done. I commend Daniel Dubois for having enough inner strength to exercise common sense in a world where the opinions of irrational children are placed on a pedestal.

The Japanese would revoke Daniel Dubois boxing license for bending the knee, DDD would be considered a disgrace according to Samurai culture.
Honorable warriors, Kosei Tanaka and Naoya Inoue did not surrender to their rivals or give into horrible pain after suffering career threatening orbital bone injuries EARLY in their fights vs. Rangsan Chayanram & Nonito Donaire.
They endured repeated excruciating painful solid blows over and over. In contrast, Daneil Dubois got popped in the eye with a jab, with only two rounds to left.
Tanaka and Inoue are world-champions, who will be going into the HOF, DDD will be remembered for being a quitter.Comment

And where did Vitali Klitscho very recently end up? In the very same establishment you're glorifying here. He "quit" in a fight with an injury that couldn't even be visually verified. What did he do afterwards? He took all kinds of literary and verbal beatings from know-nothing know-it-all keyboard warriors such as yourself and I, and other idiots whom the public assume know what they are talking about because they conned someone into throwing a microphone in their hand once upon a time. He took his lumps and did his best to change the perception that incident created of him, and he appears to have done a pretty good job of it as only boxing dorks know about it.

DDD quit. To say he did not is a dumb argument. This happened TWO days ago. If he chooses to move forward in this sport he will have plenty of time, and likely a few more opportunities to change the opinions that have begun forming. Odds are that he doesn't, but he could, and if so he won't be the first, nor certainly would he be the last fighter to rescue his "warrior" image. I think we will need more than two days to find out.Comment
