I personally believe that Jacobs has become a victim of his financial success. If i am not mistaken he has now amassed millions from the last couple of fights.

The spitefulness and urgency is gone. He has become soft.

I was trying to figure out what it was about Jacobs that hasn't looked the same in years, but you answered it for me. At his peak he looked like an animal against Quillin and Mora – one of the best punchers in boxing, I thought at the time – but since Golovkin he hasn't unloaded his full arsenal in any fight. He just waits and waits, and stands there looking 'technical'.

I could be reaching here, but maybe that Pirog KO from a decade ago never truly left his mind; plus surviving cancer and making millions, therefore his reluctance to unload the power that he (surely still) has. Just as you said, I don't see the urgency anymore.

I was so turned off by his unwillingness to take the play away from Gabe that i turned the fight off by the 10th.

I only made it to the fifth and realised I could be doing better things with my time. Plus Todd Grisham (or as he was better known in WWE, Todd Pissham) made it unwatchable. Without a doubt the worst hack of a commentator I've heard in years. There's a reason he never made it wrestling or MMA, yet somehow he's landed a job alongside competent commentators at DAZN.

Jacobs still won it 7 or 8 rds to 4or 5 imo. Rosado is what made Jacobs look off,it wasn't so much Jacobs, it's a testament to Freddie Roach(whom I can't stand but still respect as a trainer)

Roach clearly had a great game plan for Rosado which is why his face finally didn't look like mush meat after mid fight.

I don't know how boxing fans can instantly pretend someone is complete sht just because their opponent shows up to a higher level than expected.

Fwiw I told everyone before the fight this would be a lot closer than they think it will & that I still expect Jacobs to win but I knew Rosado would make it close while it lasted at least. Before the fight everyone was acting like Rosado was a D level bum(how many close fights has he lost, several,but thats why he'll never reach elite status,hes way too unbalanced to ever reach the top)

Should have been a draw because it was a garbage fight and neither deserved to win from the trash talk I thought it was going to be a good fight but they both laid an egg and got paid for doing so. Rosado doesn't care about another loss on his record he has plenty Jacobs couldn't afford the L because that's the only thing keeping him up there as a contender at 168 he loses to all the champions for sure he doesn't have that tenacity anymore to go out and put on a show. Whatever happens please don't give these guys another main event slot ever neither is deserving.

Rosado won the fight 115-113 and got robbed mainly because Jacobs talked all that s*** about how Gabe was a gatekeeper he was 'lucky' to get the fight he would destroy Gabe blah blah. What we saw was a rejuvenated Rosado who with Roach as trainer has become a technically brilliant fighter and he BEAT Jacobs hands down! Jacobs thought he lost 100% you can tell!
