joyce beats him. that amateur fight means absolutely nothing, joes a lot stronger and usyk simply cannot hurt him which means hes got 12 rounds ahead of him with joe marching him down. Hes twice the size of what he was in that amateur fight.

He can also move his feet a lot, which will help against Joyce.

It would be interesting to see what happens next if fury does take on wilder. Joshua Joyce may actually be a big fight now and if wbo don’t enforce usyk as a mandatory straight off - is a all British fight actually a potential option? Fury has taken on far weaker opponents that is for sure.

Yeah, Joyce is bigger and still has the same type of work rate and stamina. But that wasn't really an amateur fight. It was a professional fight that they count as an amateur fight. Still though, both are different fighters now and that's the main thing.

How well can he move his feet at this point in his career? That's the big question in this fight. You just can't ignore how mediocre he looked against Chisora and all the injuries that have kind of set him back post-Gassiev.

Bold! I like it, and yeah, the Usyk that fought Joyce at the WSB is not the same fighter anymore. Not saying he isn't capable of winning because he is, but I question his athleticism at this point of his career.

              Intriguing fight.
I'm wondering if Usyk has the same speed and athleticism as he did in the Joyce fight, too. I'm not sure, but he doesn't seem as fast and mobile as he was back then. It was almost freaky, the way he moved and pivoted while fighting in range with Joyce. His hand speed and accuracy looked incredible back then.....but I think he's lost a step or two since then.

I don't know who would win a 12 rounder between Joyce and Usyk...I'd have to really think about it.

Likewise, I can't really call it right now either.

He's obviously heavier at HW but his movement seems to have slowed a bit. Now can it be that he's just not had enough fights recently and has had to rehab his injuries which have effected him? Sure, but we still have to see if he still THAT same fighter. Remember, that was like seven years ago and Usyk was much younger. Usyk like a lot of fighters or athletes in their 30s is starting to suffer injuries and possibly slowing down. No shame in that.

For sure I was just pointing out Dubois achilles heel in this fight. He could have done much better if he moved his head just a little rather than eat hammer fisted jabs all night.

Sure. It also looked like the left hook was there for him, as Joyce constantly circled to his right and never really threatened with his own right hand. But Dubois was either unwilling or just incapable of throwing a left hook.
