I suspected Joyce was going to upset the hype train. He’s a much tougher proposition than he looks and DDD wasn’t learning anything in his fights. He was too busy building a highlight reel against a succession of no-hopers. The same problem Wilder had.

Unless you see guys step up there’s just no way to know if they’re going to deal with pressure. DDD unravelled just like DW when he took a step up.
This is the best post so far.....SPOT ON bro

He's saying it because British fighters tend to quit more when faced with adversity than most other groups of fighters.....I've also observed this....you can act like it doesn't exist but it does. I don't know if it has anything to do with the quick stoppages over there where you have a fight stopped because of a single flurry of unanswered punches but there's a fundamental reason why people tend to think that you guys are quitters and just aren't tough enough....I'm not saying its right but I am saying its reasonable to think that.

I ask because I’m not British I’m a former United States Marine. I’m as American as it gets lol

Yeah I don't bet but this was one where I honestly thought it was a sure thing. Even had some ideas of putting down some money

Joyce is the same type of level as Hughie Fury...Not world class or anywhere near.
You say that but he beats just about every American HW out there.

Joyce will probably never be a champ, because there are Fury and AJ still around.

Irony is, I believe Dubois is future champ still. He doesn`t look any worse than those East Euros, Hrgovic, Ajagba, Yoka..Don`t you tell me he can`t win at least one of 4 belts in the future against these guys.

I think he can make a good living and have some big fights, but he is limited IMO.

That said, he has at least 10 years of a career ahead of him.

Problem being, his eye socket was broken and I don't think he will ever have the confidence to really tough out high level HW fights moving forward.

If he was with Matchroom he could easily make himself a millionaire by being a undercard fighter, but if he stays with Warren I doubt he will go anywhere fast.

Um no...that was a totally odd question to ask.

                      What’s your angle?
