In 1972 WBC, and WBA Lightweight Champ Bob Foster defended his titles against then undefeated contender Mike Quarry. Bob hit Quarry with a vicious and beautifully timed left hook that sparked him out cold. A real scary knock out to be sure, but man oh man Bob Foster had some serious power.

Oh, the Art Serwano knockout. I’m not in medical but that looked like something neurological happened there, like fencing response, or maybe a mild seizure? Very difficult to watch. There’s a similar one of Wilder knocking out Liakovich and he does something similar. Happens in helmet-to-helmet hits in football sometimes as well.
