Dazn £1.99 a month in the uk

-rolling out in 200 countries
assume a modest 20k subs from each country...
that's 4m subs.
even if it was $1.99 a month, that's $96m in additional revenue per yr.
$1.99 is only for now...
4m subs from 200 countries is modest.
-pushing boxing, which is largely untapped in the global market. has HUGE potential. i mean im assuming all of us on here love boxing more than other sports. i used to be a football/soccer fan only, but boxing gradually took over. If that was the case for me, why is it any different for the millions all over the world who are obsessed with football but are only now beginning to get into boxing?
growth is also compounded eg the ones who get it and like it, talk about it and it continues to grow.
-they already monetising data, they'll be adding ads to their app too.
example, companies pay $1 for every 50 views on a youtube add. prepandemic they had 8m global subs. assume 1 ad per person per day $160k each day in ad revenue (i mean it's probably going to be more than that). That alone is $58m.
12m subs in future, $87m
4m subs paying $2 a month, $96m
8m subs (prepandemic) paying $10 a month, $960m
$1.1billion in revenue.
tell me that isnt a takeover?Comment

So watched the jacobs fight just now (didn’t watch it live, but not long after) - enjoyed the dazn app and how it worked. The commentary team I wasn’t so keen on! Not sure who they all were, the Americans I’m sure know - only one I knew for sure was Chris mannix - but boy did they like to shut on the fight!! Rather than complain the whole fight I would hope / want them to talk about something different, do a bit research on the fighters etc. Not sure what others felt, I guess the us audience are more used to that commentary style?Comment
