He's got a lot of mile's on the clock and his boxing style needs a lot of energy. He just wants those retirement paydays ASAP.

Usyk didn‘t look really convincing in the fights vs Witherspoon and Chisora. Besides it‘s ridiculous that the WBO made him the automatic mandatory when he moved to heavyweights.

Exactly!!! This is the fight. Weird how Dubois is WBO's number 2

I have a feeling AJ will vacate the WBO belt if Fury and Wilder resolves their trilogy arbitration amicably in Fury's favour.

Usyk get's hit WAY too much as a HW. If Aj hits him even a few times, Usyk is getting KO'ed.

Its in Usyks best interest to force AJ to vacate. He gets to box Dubois for the vacant title, Dubois at this stage simply doesnt have the experience or ring craft to deal with Usyk, Usyk takes the title and then has a bargaining chip against either of the big 2 once they have settled there differences in the ring. Its a win win for Usyk. Easiest route to a title, and maximises income in following defenses.

To make the title fight and earn a payday before losing his mandatory status.

Not weird at all IMO. If I’m mandatory challenger for the unified heavyweight titles I’m not gonna fight a bunch of other heavyweights in the meantime and risk losing that shot.

Plus there’s no guarantee Fury would fight him.

How is it ridiculous? It’s the WBO rule with every weight class.

Can't say I blame him but undisputed needs to happen as soon as possible before England loses a title.

I know no one likes the WBA reg, but, that is why the Super was created isn't it? So that the WBA could give a title shot to the man who had earned it, I think it was Chageav back then, while the champion pressed for unifications.

I think I might be adovacting for an unter belt from the WBO. Usyk doesn't have any legal ties to Joshua or Joshua's status on top of the WBO. He has a legal reason to press for a WBO world title fight. They can do that and not strip Joshua.

Maybe instead keeping them it should be defuncted as soon as the unter and major are combined. I believe that would have been Pov for Wlad? The reg should go away until another mando is pushing for their title fight while champions negotiate unifications...maybe, I dunno, I do hate the reg and WBC Franchise too but also I love me some undisputed.
