Agreed....Demetrius Andrade is really not that good of a fighter and that's why we've never seen him in a great fight....LOL...the guy fights just like he did in the amateurs...nearly no change that I see at all.....and you got dumb people in here talking about folks are "avoiding" him.....AVOIDING HIM FOR WHAT?? LOL....Hearn thinks he's slick....thinks he's gonna get every one of his middleweights in the ring with Canelo....LOLOLOL......bottom line...ANDRADE SUCKS...that's why he faces nothing but euro domestic level competition......facts.

I'll kindly have to disagree of your assessment of his skill level. Andrade is very skilled and contrary to what people think, he actually throws a **** ton of punches per fight.

I just think he is mentally fragile and a too much of a coward to test himself and build his legacy.

Pulleed out of fights with Jermell twice, pulled out of fights with Lara three times, and ignored a contract sent to him and many public call outs by Derevyanchenko when Chenko eas still unbeaten.

Also he and Jacobs used the friendship excuse to avoid each other.

Yes Saunders pulled out of their fight and tested positive, and yes Canelo and GGG don't want that smoke, I get that, I really do.

But what about the other 6/7 times where he did not want the smoke from those other guys?

And you know the 'boring' excuse that Canelo and GGG use to duck him, he used the same exact excuse to duck Lara. I can find the video interview and send you the link if you don't believe me.

Yeah that’s true and I look at someone like Austin Trout for comparison. Trout has gotten opportunities because he is willing to take on all-comers. He upset Cotto and parlayed that into a shot at Canelo. Besides that he also faced Lara and both Charlo’s. Now Trout didn’t win all those fights, however he will be able to look back on his career with no regrets because he faced the best. At this rate, Andrade will retire with a bunch of “what if’s” if he doesn’t get himself a high-profile fight.

My point isn't that he's the victim or that he doesn't have blame for his current relevancy and buzz. He's done plenty to contribute to the situation. Quite the opposite.

I try not to get into the debates of who specifically "ducking" who because there are usually alot of factors that go into which fights are pursued and ultimately made. A contract can be sent to a fighter but what's in the language?

I think he's talented but with his awkward style, he needs to bring more to the table. He's had plenty of opportunities to finish an opponent but has been content to take the decision. He doesn't have a large fanbase outside of New England and he doesn't get great TV ratings.

I see some similarities between him and BJS. Skilled boxers, ugly styles who don't have big fights on their long resume. Both have a lot of blame in their situations but I still view them as high risk and low reward. The difference is that BJS can at least play the villain in a matchup.

I get what you are trying to say, I just think you are being way too lenient on these guys.

Saunders had a chance to fight GGG even before Jacobs and Canelo did and blatantly said he was not ready despite being a champion.

Then thr Andrade situation where he tested positive and then vacated before an investigation could be done and moved up to continue to cherry pick at 168.

Funny enough, it was a chance for both of them, he and Andrade, to finally get a meaningful name on their resume and Suanders just screwed it up and ran away completely.

Its quite clear, with the GGG "not ready" situation, and the Andrade situation, and the current cherry picking he is doing, that Saunders does not want any smoke.

The link above is him ducking both Lara and Jermell Charlo in one move.

They asked him why he was fighting Jack Culcay for the WBA regular as opposed to Lara for the WBA super title, and he said he fight Lara only as a last resort basically because Lara is boring, smh.

Then he goes on to say he is fighting Culcay for the regular belt so that he can bring a belt to the mandatory fight with Charlo. Can you honestly tell me Andrade, after all these years in the sport of boxing, did not know that fighting for another belt would disqualify him from his mandatory position for another?

I think he knew exactly what he was doing. There is no way he or his managers and promoters did not know that.

Down the line the WBA announced that they would be ordering negotiations for Lara and Andrade in september of that year.

Two weeks after that announcement, Andrade announces that he is moving up to middleweight. Like wtf?

Every time he is about to get a mandatory shot he sabotages himself by moving in another direction. How do you explain this?

Andrade's actions are unforgivable.

Yes, Canelo and GGG ducked him, so but at least GGG has Jacobs and Canelo and Chenko on his resume.

At least Canelo has a whole lot of top guys on his resume. Their ducking is inexcusable yes but we all know history will be kind to then because of the names they actually have on their resumes.

Who does Andrade have? You ducking people but you don't even have a single credible opponent on your resume?

The sad thing is that he looked like he had lost a step in his last fight. His timing, precision, stamina, and speed looked like it had taken a fee steps back. Maybe he didn't train properly, or maybe he really has lost a step.

That's not a good look for someone who had enough talent to be p4p#1.

I quite like this one. Liams a solid fighter and actually probably right up there with anyone of Boo Boos resume. Demetrius will be a pretty wide favourite but I expect Liam to give a good account of himself on his way to an L.
