You must be confused with another Parker or Ruiz maybe ?

Joseph Parker is a homebody family man who cares little about partying or fame.

      I’ve seen him in Vegas...

He’s lost focus, that UK PPV money took his hunger away.

I think you're right in that he did lose focus after life changing paydays. Financial security and having kids will do that to a career.

Legacy and passion seems to be his focus now rather than money. Patience, a by product of having kids, is the key...

The leadup for this fight has been painful. Both camps with drama, pettiness and diva behavior.

Fa's surgery is delaying the fight yet his camp is complaining Parker wasn't taking the fight seriously? They should handle their business and not worry how camp is going for the opponent. There was a time when I was looking forward to this fight. Now, the juice doesn't seem worth the squeeze and I don't care.

Fa's career for whatever reason has been stale. Parker had a fast rise and fell off. The loss to Whyte (asterisk or not), pulling out of the Chisora fight and looking pedestrian in his wins have all contributed to the stagnation of his career. He's looked disinterested in the ring for a while now (going back to at least the Ruiz fight) who knows if he's hit his ceiling, limited by his team or limited by his hunger....

I’m not hating on the guy or nothing, I’d probably be the same if I’d made the money he’d made.

I really feel like he’s lost his hunger though. Hasn’t done anything since the Whyte loss.

Yeah maybe, focus is different from hunger.

Since Whyte, he's won 3 in a row, albeit against sub par opposition.

I get the feeling he's more interested in getting rounds in over knockouts.

I felt like he was coasting in all 3 fights. Didn’t have that same killer instinct he showed on the way up.

I'm disappointed in this fight being cancelled for Parker who really needs to be busier. Hopefully when he comes back it will be with a vengeance instead of having his eye further off the ball. Joe is almost too nice a guy for boxing. I don't know if he even has a mean streak.

It’s very unfortunate to see a talented fighter with wasted potential. He needs to stay busy for his sake.
