That first fight doesnt mean anything. Moloney clearly made the adjustment of being more aggressive and he was beating the piss out of franco. Franco was a punching bag and moloney must have landed about 100 jabs.

Yup the first fight doesn't matter because the second fight showed what happened when moloney adjusted. Now can Franco adjust?

Have you looked at the gif closely? It looks like a shoulder to the eye. His head is on the other side of his face. So perhaps the shoulder caused the swelling.

I think what bothered people was that it took 30 minutes to find a split second moment that doesn't show any convincing evidence of a headbutt to the eye that swelled.

I am certain you have seen dozens of clear headbutts and the subsequent replay. In this case, it is very hard to see in the gif and for the judges in Vegas on the night of the event, i.e. 30 minutes to find this shoulder to the eye.

Regardless, since Mora called it a headbutt, then the gif you posted is probably enough to keep the original ruling, despite the appearance of a shoulder to the eye and the head on the opposite side of the face. The best call would have been Mora ruling an accidental shoulder or foul that caused the swelling instead of ruling a butt. That would have allowed for the gif or video to validate Mora's ruling.

Thats ESPN fault, its not the commision fault that ESPN didnt want to show this clip not even ONCE on air, they kept showing other parts instead, this is the clip the commission saw initially and they were double checking every incident to find a reason to call it against a headbutt but didnt find any.

you guys have to realize, you only get fed the images ESPN wants you to see, its their show, their production, Franco is not a ESPN fighter. The commission have no ties to ESPN either.

The ruling was a heatbutt, theres a clear headbutt so the ruling stands. Its that simple but everyone wants to cry and inject their opinions wants their opinion to be the ruling factor rather than what happened to be the ruling factor and thats just insane and I am glad they ruled it correctly despite all the rumblings and hate NSAC was getting.

Wtf is this BS showing a GIF and a still image when Hi res video is available of the entire fight and those BS stills and gif were taken of the video, its the same as pulling a word out of context, without the surrounding content the word means nothing.

Show the dam video or it never happened to cause that damage.

Thats the thing look what they present, lets just find a still that appears to look like a head butt and we will say that did it.

How about a timestamp.

How about showing the eye good and then the eye bad.

How about a reaction from Franco too a head butt.

How about explain as to how you can head butt the eyeball as it was the inner lids that swelled, how and not touch the eye brow or the cheek or the corner of the eye, you would need the point of the chin to bypass the socket and get into the eyeball.

Why can they not show a clear sequence of what happened, yet a crystal clear video shows Franco before, a perfect jab right in that eye , and Franco move away blinking with slight swelling already starting.

If you guys that say there is a head butt show the dam footage.
