Comments Thread For: Franco Trainer Robert Garcia Unhappy: We Will Give Moloney A Third Fight

Joshua Franco may still be a bantamweight titleholder, but he is far from a being a happy camper. Franco retained his bantamweight title in a rematch against Aussie Andrew Moloney last Saturday night at the MGM Grand Conference Arena on the Terence Crawford-Kell Brook undercard but on controversial terms. The bout was deemed a no-contest after the Nevada State Athletic Commission and referee Russell Mora declared upon a drawn-out, shambolic "instant" review process that would have tried the patience of a Benedictine monk that Franco, with his right eye swollen shut, could no longer continue after the second round on account of a Moloney headbutt. Moloney protested, claiming it was a jab that caused the eye to swell.

Unhappy?? Garcia should be ecstatic! His boy was getting outclassed and beaten up, and refs and commission aloud him to steal the belt anyway. Disgraceful comments too from Garcia after the fight, lying through his teeth. Starting to see his true nature...

Franco is overrated and did not look that good in the 1+ rounds against Maloney. He was getting his head jabbed off by the Aussie and was on his way to a late stoppage of wide decision loss. Garcia knows this.

Good, the right call was made and the 3rd fight will happen. In the 3rd Franco will stop Malooney.

Everyone talking about franco losing the first few rounds lmfao they obviously didnt see the 1st fight where Franco won the belt off malooney than lol if they think that slow start means anything with these two.

That first fight doesnt mean anything. Moloney clearly made the adjustment of being more aggressive and he was beating the piss out of franco. Franco was a punching bag and moloney must have landed about 100 jabs.

Thats what I want to know where is the video that shows a headbutt, they offered a still shot what a pathetic defense, I watched many times in 4k res and cannot see it.

                They robbed Maloney.

You boys are too emotional. Be non bias and non emotional and approach the issue.

There is no denying a headbutt took place, ward even admitted to it, wards claims was that it wasn't "significant enough" to cause the eye swelling. That is an opinion please note that, now as an opinion it holds absolutely no merit in the decision-making process.

The replay is to provide clear evidence that the call is wrong, which the replay couldnt prove. So the call stands.

Now listen cause this is important.

Lets say they do the opposite and reverse the call without disproving it was a headbutt but because they ASSUME like Ward Assumes that the headbutt wasn't significant enough so it must've been a punch, doing this you are opening up the replay process to be manipulated by assumptions. which is not good.

                  Fact.
                  Headbutt Did Occur.

Still no evidence it did occur. The one that supposedly caused the swelling, maloneys head was on the opposite shoulder. Theres a reason damn near EVERYBODY was upset at the bs call by Mora. Cause it was NOT a butt. End of story. Had it been and viewed that there was an actual headbutt, thered be no need for a 3rd match. Period
