DAZN restructuring GGG’s contract, delay due to Paycut circumstances

Told you guys, and industry didn’t even want to instigate upon it except for other boxers. Tsk tsk. If The Athletic and everybody’s mama contextualized Canelo vs DAZN contract rift while mentioning GGg then wasn’t obvious GGG would be affected? It’s obvious his delay was due to this and Canelo’s shattered contract

DAZN are approaching a restructured agreement for the champion to return against Kamil Szeremeta on December 18 DAZN asked GGG to reduce its salary; six-fight contract guarantees $15 million per fight.

Need to go back to paying GGG $5-6 million.

The re-structure of GGG pay scale was inevitable when Dazn lost Canelo. Let me break it down.

GGG was only signed and offered the amount he got because of Dazn desire to host the 3rd fight with Canelo.

Dazn lost canelo, now GGG's worth to Dazn dropped tremendously. Pandemic or no Pandemic they was always going to drop GGG pay scal because of the lost of Canelo.

It seems like a contract with DAZN is worthless unless it was in the contracts that they can pay less in hard times. Most contracts don't work that way. Normally a boxer gets paid the promised amount in good times or bad and you should not have to go to court to get what was promised to you in writing.

Why DAZN is currently the one putting out the best fights. You seen that Estrada fight o boy it was good the whole card.
