Thats not exactly true.

Haymon was willing to let Shawn Porter, Keith Thurman, and Yordenis Ugas fight Crawford.

I didn't say only Haymon. Arum isn't doing his job reaching out to the other side. Many fights are being blocked. Screw both.

Why screw both, though? One is actually willing to make big fights happen.

There are good fights at TR that someone like Davis can mix up with. I don't see Haymon or his organization pursuing them aggressively or even starting a dialogue on that front.

But I think the only reason Spence team wanted to fight Garcia is after they saw how horrible he looked against Redkach (originally a lightweight).

It seems Team Spence are methodically accumulating scalps of aged, has-been fighters wanting another payday or shot at glory.

For all the grief Crawford gets about his opposition, he still fights the best his team can find. And his options are limited.

I thought they were signed to fight before Redkach, that only came about when Errol withdrew after the accident which postponed Garcia.

He BEGGED for the Thurman from the time Mayweather was still active up until the point Thurman lost his belt. Thurman wouldn’t take it.

He’s beaten both Kell Brook AND Shawn Porter.

He’s fighting Danny Garcia. ONLY because Danny wouldn’t fight him earlier. Spence has been the most eager champion I’ve seen in recent years to unify belts.

It is all of TWO names he has not fought. And that is Crawford and Pacquiao.

Pacquiao was not trying to fight Spence. He came to PBC and fought the two guys that he wanted to fight. Broner, and Thurman.

Crawford is with Top Rank. So as much as you WANT to blame Spence and ONLY Spence for that fight not happening, I personally don’t think that’s realistic.

He has done 2 PPVs now, and is going on his third, which would give him 3 pretty successful PPV events.

Crawford has 1 PPV that bombed. Spence is (rightfully) asking for the lions share of the PPV split being a unified world champ, with better opposition, more options, and more PPVs.

How is it that you’re calling Spence a duck ? And this is coming from a Crawford fan.




Why wouldn’t he ? Al is still the person that organizes the fights.

When Bud ran up on him he said he was his own boss. Errol fought two guys that matter at 147 and now he’s doing what Thurman did to him. He also openly avoided Bud and chose the “easy route” in Porter.
