I refuse to read the comments or care about any splits. Fight is easily 50/50 and saying otherwise shows what type of fan you are.
Promoters and fighters should demand that these type of fights are 50/50 or 40/40 and winner gets the rest. We should demand better as boxing fans!

My favorite 2 fighters so no bias from me!

How about "Hey Spence, I'm ready to fight. Come to the table if you're ready to get a fight signed" and leave it at that?[/QUOTE]

      I agree.

Nice if fans had an option to choose which fighter they want to pay to watch or at least the ability to allocate your own percentage. Tech is here just not put together yet. Give fighters a little more than what's happening now.

It was under Matchroom when he fought Brook in Sheffield, England.
          I believed it was $900K.
Prior to that, he made $300K in his arguably first step up fight with Algieri, who
made $500K, (which was eventually swindled by Chris's then promoter.)
Spence made $250K in the Bundu fight.

Therefore, Mr Errol has no basis in saying Bud is on the wrong side of the street,
          financially-wise.

Or to quote Lighter Shade of Brown:

Ain't where you been, it's where you at.

"At The End Of The Day" , Spence is currently paid more than Crawford.

You can already see whos pricing whom out. Bud is the 1 who should be gettimg 40% vs spence and 35 vs pacquaio for crawford aimt a draw has done n fought no1 at welterweight . u can see how this is going well since crawford wants 60/40 only fights deserve that is vs ugas for ugas brings no name but huge risk to table. Make that fight ugas vs crawford 1.5m vs 4.5m in purse . unless crawford continues to price self out im sure haymon would sign off on ugas thurman either garcia n porter for no belt on like all 50/50 fights for fighter if win hold all belts for welterweight if lose its good to build upon spence vs crawford hype

Also to add 40/40. With 20% for winner would be fair other than that if u cant sale even tickets except in nebraska then u aint fought a live body or top 10 in division then no way in hell can you be A side. Only fight crawfords an A side at welterweight is vs washed up fighter and or no names.

But if Crawford had beaten Claressa, would anyone realistically accept that he should get the greater split? No.

Equal? Maybe - since Spence has Claressa Top 5 P4P for some reason.

But then you're talking a PRIME fighter. Not the ghost of a prime fighter.

I get what you're saying, and don't particularly disagree. However, here's the reality (as I see it!); it really doesn't matter too much at this stage what either of them say!

If both fighters really wanted the fight, they will see reason and come to terms, if one or both dont really want it they can just talk this percentage talk till the ends of time, the free negotiating nature of boxing mixed with hype and saving face while staying macho may have been great in times gone by but not today, free enterprise is boxings worst enemy the only way you can stop egos ruling is to have rules that have the final say.

Am sure though who supported his stance then shouldn’t have an issue with the top P4P asking for more here with less belts and one PPV event under his belt.
Your "0 buys" analogy is broken, because Wilder always had something people would dial in for - some sort of high impact knockout.

This you can sell the "what if" with him. Even now. His comeback fight will have more asses in the seats than Crawford. Especially if they use footage of Stiverne being slumped on the ropes to remind people.

All people have seen from Crawford is a guy appearing to quit, him getting two-pieced, wobbled and dropped, him low blowing a guy who's supposed to be easy to knockout, and him almost getting taken the distance by a guy with one leg. Oh, and him going on DAZN and verbally ducking crowd favorite Shawn Porter - then his own promoter confirming the duck.

Someone needs to sit down with Crawford and tell him that 40% is generous for fighting the UNIFIED champion, go do what you say you can do, then you can become the A-Side.
