Comments Thread For: Hearn: Fury Should Skip Stay-Busy Return, Face Joshua Next

Eddie Hearn, promoter for WBA, IBF, IBO, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, wants to see WBC champ Tyson Fury bypass a stay-busy fight and instead face Joshua in 2021. Joshua is back in action on December 12, when he defends the belts against IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev.

If Joshua gets ****** out again or looks bad again the Tyson fight loses its appeal especially Hearns plan for two fights.Tyson is right to talk of a fight either for a warm up up or if the above happens a more challenging fight.Old Pulev seems the perfect fight to look good against as he hasn't done much since being knocked all over the ring and knocked out by Wlad six years ago.Joshua has got to do it in style and quick otherwise Hearns money spinner is not!

Eddie will find a way to make sure this fight never happens.

I know it's unrealistic, but I wish Fury fought Usyk as his stay busy fight . That way he can both stay busy and get Usyk out of Joshua's way.

The fight also loses some of its appeal, and value, if it's not for all the titles so joshua needs to get an exemption from wbo or get Usyk out of the way.

But if he does, Hearn is ready to finalize the fight after both sides had agreed to a 50-50 monetary split earlier this year.
Maybe AJ should listen to Spedce and demand 60/40.

It would be easier to just demand 60/40 split like Spedce.

Yep, agreed , Uysk will want big step aside money but Hearn will cost that in to the price of the PPv not his massive profits.....If Hearn continues the smash and grab it just sends fans streaming .

Spence could've offered Bud a flat fee equivalent to 12.5/15% like AJ offered wilder in the first negotiations when AJ fans really thought AJ wanted to fight wilder. Or AJ could've offered Fury any one of the flat fee offers that he presented to wilder. Now all of a sudden AJ is back to offering his opponents percentage splits now that wilder isn't the prospective opponent.
