It's a decent fight, there is risk for Canelo.

The thing is, on paper, Callum Smith is the toughest opponent possible. He's an undefeated giant of a Super Middleweight who is #1 in that division almost everywhere. On paper it's an incredibly tough fight.

On film though... Smith looks stiff and frankly amateur. He has no lateral movement and his footwork looks incredibly lacking. There's a massive difference i skill level. However, bodywork is the great equalizer. Smith is a vicious body puncher and commits to it. He'll also leave himself wide open for counters with his body attack.

Overall a decent fight to make at this time. Looking forward to it.

Callum's best win is a faded Groves. Kind of puts things in perspective when you think about it.

So no, not everybody wins, specially not the fans.

Smith destroyed Rocky Fielding in 1 round, took Canelo 3 rounds.

"Preference doesn’t equal a problem. Alvarez can only fight them one at a time"

The best thing I read in that entire article. People will always have their preferred match up and they are entitled to that. This is a great matchup and like many have said or thought. This is much better than the match up that the WBC was trying to push on us. So not that the haters cannot complain about Canelo picking up an easy belt and instead going for the consensus #1 in the division they struggle to find other reasons why this is a cherry pick.

Cannot please them all. For the many boxing fans that are looking forward to this. This should be a fun fight. I now have more doubts that Canelo will drop down to 160 anytime soon. There really is no reason to. Jermall can move up to 168 and his smaller brother Jermell can move up to 160. If Canelo moves back down to 160 he can beat up Jermall then Jermall at 168. This way he has fought 3 pairs of brothers.

                  Hate? No! Disappointment? Absolutley!!

Canelo vs Callum = Thurman vs Garcia NOT Thurman vs Spence.

If the fights are there and deliberately avoided P4P status should RIGHTFULLY be called to question.

                  P4P #1 + Self Promotion + Money and No Network Tie-down = HIGH EXPECTATIONS.

                    Racist much ****head?

Another casual. Callum Smith is the WBA champ, the Ring champ, the lineal champ, winner of the Super-Six tournament and undefeated.

If you didn't know this, then you need to stop commenting you moron.
