Comments Thread For: Miguel Roman Glove Controversy Discovered, Resolved Ahead Of Ring City Debut

The inaugural installment of NBC Sports Network's Ring City boxing series will go on as planned, though not without having to overcome adversity and controversy. Disaster was averted with the evening's scheduled main event after it was discovered that the padding was removed from a pair of Reyes gloves assigned to Mexico's Miguel Romn, who faces O'Shaquie Foster in a 10-round junior lightweight bout. The grave issue was discovered by Bobby Benton, Foster's head trainer upon inspection of the opponent's gloves following Wednesday's pre-fight weigh-in.

No Jake, you must be mistaking, these things do not happen ; the inspectors would not allow it -- thats what Tyson Fury fans tell me.

Was it "removed" as in tampered with? or was it just made that way? thats a big distinction.

If it was "removed" than the larger question is BY WHO?

if it came that way from Reyes than the boxing commissions need to get involved and enforce QC on these glove companies. The gloves can only come from the factory themselves and must be delivered 2 weeks in advanced so the commision can inspect them and keep them under lock and key.

and can it be a case of the gloves having the padding their but it was worked away from the knuckle area? I know cleto ryes are horsehair gloves, so are everlast mx and the grants puncher equivelent. and all 3 brans have been under scruntity over their horse hair gloves, Everlast MX with Maidanas gloves, Cleto Reyes here, and Grants puncher gloves with Rosado su****ious of GGG gloves.

Love makes people blind, they say. Fury's followers admire him in such disproportionate ways that they fail to see the truth even when it is so obvious.

You pair of dimwits must struggle with words. This incident happened after the weigh-in, before the commission inspects the gloves and takes possession

Wildettes will do anything to try and validate those tinfoil hat concocted conspiracy theories
