I initially thought that was a overly harsh take when I was listening to Showtime Shawn on his podcast talking about it, but after he explained it more I tended to agree with him & it seemed less harsh a statement to me. Kell is just in it for the $$$ at this stage if his career & boxing is what he knows how to do. Its not like he didn't try or couldn't have won, but when met with the adversity Bud was bringing it wasn't like it used to be for him.

And honestly fair play to the guy, he's had his face busted up twice. Who's gonna be the fooking same guy after that? Not many mfers.

It doesn't matter, bro. You're missing Shawn's point.

When he says "behave like a fighter" you're suppose to have a warrior's heart. Atlas said the same thing. You're supposed to go out there and go out on your shield if you have to. Brook should have clinched or just throw for the fences or at least TRY to be in the fight; he didn't. He cringed away from the shots and he was perfectly lucid at the 8 count. Then he cringed away after Crawford came in. That's heart, he lacked it. Period.

He was cashing out... what did people expect. Brook lost his love for the sport years ago, hopefully he’s invested his money well and won’t have to come back.
A mate of mine in Sheffield claims he’s out partying a lot so that’s worrying in terms of spending habits.

Was never a Brook fan, thought he was crazily overrated and never beat anyone IMO, (I had Porter winning their fight) however, the guy that fought Crawford was an absolute shell of himself and shouldn’t have been in that ring, I don’t wanna see any fighter get hurt. So I hope Brook hangs them up and doesn’t chase another payday.

I don't know if he was completely lucid but I get your point. My take is that caught the first shot and was dazed. He stumbled back to the ropes and received the count since the ropes held him up. He appeared out of it but not to the point where he couldn't respond.

Now this is where things get dicey. He continued after that but didn't seem overly eager to do so. Was that because he had given up? Or was it because he was still separated from his senses? That seems to be the part that's open to debate and I can see both sides.

Anyway, when they came back together, Bud threw a left and followed it up with whipping right hook. Crawford even paused for a half-second until Brook was in the perfect position. It was a beautiful shot and I could see that putting Brook on ***** street.

Only he knows what he felt in that moment so all we can do is speculate. Perhaps he could have clinched or thrown punches back like you said but I'm thinking he got buzzed badly and instinctively covered up/went into survival mode.

This right here. Porter is doing too much here. Brook legit had no punch resistance. Two broken faces and the weight cut takes a toll.

But I would love to see Crawford vs Porter so hopefully this leads to it.

Yeah it's always tough to see.

Yes agreed - Crawford vs Porter is what we need right now. Great test for Crawford.

And what I'm saying is, I don't accept that GGG tees off on Brook in the stoppage round, yet Brook STILL clearly wanted to fight.

Nobody will convince me that short half jab from Crawford is more damaging than a full extend throw from Golovkin.

Brook was not mentally there. He had not mentally prepared himself to go to war. I don't believe he was physically out of it after the FIRST stumble.

Again, go watch Ortiz/Collazo again. It was the same thing.
