Another top five collision at Bantamweight, 118 is blazing! John Riel Casimero, has looked stronger than ever ; knocking-out all his opponents at 118, in his climb to a third-world title ( WBO) in three-weights.

For Guillermo Rigondeaux, this installment is similar to John Riel Casimero's bantamweight journey yet contrasting : Rigo, like Casimero has found new hope and promising opportunities at bantamweight ; differeint in that instead of moving up a division, has come down in search for a world-title and the most meaningful fights at the latter stages of his career.

This fight reminds me of Zolani Tete vs. John Riel Casimero, Tete like Rigo is a tentative southpaw, low volume puncher. Casimero was smart and quick enough to utilize his right-hand vs. the southpaw and establish lead-foot-dominance whilst stepping around Tete to hurt and drop the South-African.

Vasily Lomachenko, managed to exploit Rigo's habit of ducking and remaining stationary and like Casimero against Tete, Lomachenko stepped around Guillermo. Rigondeaux, has been holding his ground and fighting very flat-footed lately, engaging too much ; this plays to Casimero's strength, however, I wont be surprised if Rigo catches John Riel in the counter.

Casimero should be the favorite, I'm interested on the odds on the money-line for his one.

WBA 'Regular' champions can not unify. The 'Monster' Naoya Inoue is the real WBA 'Super-champion' at bantamweight ; Guillermo holds the secondary trinket.
