First off nobody said Crawford or Loma are not elite, the reason I brought them up is because they are good fighters and the point was that even good fighters don't jump 2 divisions even to fight what some like to call an "old fighter" it just doesn't happen often, so maybe you shouldn't jump to conclusions and actually read the comment, if you don't understand the comment than ask a question. Second, was Lara old when Canelo fought him? Or Jacobs, or Trout, or Mayweather, GGG was undefeated and the true middleweight champion when they fought. Don't pick and choose to fit you're narrative, why aren't as critical of Crawford for fighting old man Brook? Old man Khan and now wants to fight old man Pacquiao? Even though I think old man Pacquiao still gives Crawford a run for his money. How does Smith adjust from the way he pushed his punches against Ryder? That will determine everything. He could run away with a win if he can adjust correctly. Keep at range and use angles. He doesn't last 6 if he fights down the same way he fought Ryder.
