Holyfield and Mike Tyson are bigger names obviously, but they were not threats when Lennox fought them.
Ray Mercer actually beat him (in the opinions of many), a focused Oliver McCall was dangerous too, but all in all, I'd go with David Tua. Tua had that 1 punch power that if he had been able to get to Lennox, he could've obliterated him.

Yeah, you're right about Tyson, but I think Holyfield did have a little left when they fought.

Fury didn't have a step up fight prior to schooling klitschko

You are good enough to win or you aren't. Simple

Nope he had Chisora and at the time Hammer also close calls with McDermott , Wallin also had zero step up fight and arguably a little more experience sees him doing enough to get the win .

You can’t say your either ready or not ,boxing don’t work like that otherwise people would be fighting for titles and skipping mid tier ones . Who ever has done that ? How do you think Fury does against Klitschko in 2013 ,we know he would lose miserably at that point .

His win over Golota was very impressive. Back then many people saw Golota has a huge threat and Lewis opened only as a slight favorite and opinions were split. A lot of folks thought Golota was one of the most talented heavyweight going into that one.

Now looking back and realize that Golota wasn't really as good as his hype still doesn't take away how impressive that win was. Nobody saw a one round destruction. That was Lewis at his very best.

I'm going with Ray Mercer. Mercer could take his punch and answered back with heavy shots. That was a very entertaining and close fight. I thought Lewis won but wouldn't have been surprised if it went the other way.

For sure. Vitali’s size, power, chin and courage and determination (unlike Wlad) gives every heavyweight ever trouble. Beats most head to head.

Lmao Fury boxes any version of Wlads head off.

Honestly Fury from mcdermott 1 beats Wlad, HORRIBLE style match-up for klitschko, just all wrong for him
