Joyce`s head is just huge, lol. I won`t be surprised if Dubois won`t be able to hurt him.

I suppose that could happen but I'd counter that no chin can survive a flush hit from a heavyweight and Joyce's engine and stamina will start to splutter if he is being continually tagged.this was my initial thoughts, however i dont think its that simple. Yes Joyce punches like hes underwater but considering his engine and stamina is INSANE, he could simply weather the storm early on (he has a very gd chin) let Dubois punch himself out & then overwhelm Dubois and drown him late on.Comment

I think that is a 50-50 fight. Joyce is no small man and can punch. Skill-wise, Dubois has got a variety of shots but the main issue is to use them in a big match. He hasn't fought anyone at this level and it would tell a lot about him. Dubois needs experience on how to adjust during fights when the going gets tough.
We'll see if he is the finished product yet.Comment

Do you honestly think the size of someone's head is the main factor in whether they can take a punch or not? Ridiculous.Comment

We'll see. You've been pumping Joe's tires since before this fight was announced so hopefully for your sake, Joyce does demolish Dubois. I don't see it as being that cut and dry. It's a 50/50 matchup which is what makes it interesting.Comment

There’s definitely a correlation. Of course there are many exceptions but if you’ve watched boxing for long enough you definitely start to notice that boxers with smaller heads and narrow necks are less durable.
Do you have a very tiny head?Comment

I don't think that's provable one way or another. I tend to think the neck is more of a factor but can that be proved? Probably not.
Do I have a very tiny head? Absolutely not but I'm not a pro boxer so it's totally irrelevant. That's all you people can do when you don't have any concrete evidence to support your argument, resort to childish name calling.Comment

Actually I thought there might be some bias going on as result of you yourself having a tiny head.I don't think that's provable one way or another. I tend to think the neck is more of a factor but can that be proved? Probably not.

Small head discrimination is well documented and it would be completely in your right to dispute my pro large head leanings.
Anyway it’s moot as your head is in fact normal sized for an adult man.
So let’s move on.Comment

This is gonna be a fun one & I'm lowkey jealous as a US fan prospects/young contenders fight each other in the UK before one or both get to a belt.
That said I got DDD here. I think his speed, power & ring IQ win the day. Joe doesn't suck by any means, but he's slow & gets hit too much. His defense is his face. That works at most levels of the HW division, but I see DDD as a future title challenger if not title holder & idk that it works vs that caliber a guy. I do give Joe a chance of roughing it out early & taking over late to eek out a decision win or late stoppage, but the most likely outcome to me is a DDD mid round KO. And in the event Joe hurts DDD early or mid fight or things are tight for awhile I suspect DDD will be the smarter fighter with more options to find a path to a decision W.
Whatever happens I'm hyped for this one. Always love these undefeated HW fights at this level or higher.Comment
