He got KOed with a jab. His punch resistance has been damaged.

He had the reflexes and was going good but if his chin doesn't hold up it is all good for nothing. Ask Khan.

Khan ends up flat on his back counting stars.
Kell Brook cowers against the ropes before taking a knee and being counted out.
A fitting end to both their careers.

            He saved money

He saved money by cutting Eddie Hearn out the middle.
He saved money by firing his trainer and going with a guy through Instagram.
He flexed his muscles and was very proud of himself.
He shot off his mouth, but didn't have the skills to back himself up.
            Yeah, I think you're right.

When you know you're fighting a top level guy, you go get BETTER sparring! Fury went to Kronk's Gym (just like Lennox Lewis) in Detroit! Brook went to the Canary Islands!

Man I feel for Brook, he's a warrior who never ducked nobody. But god damn, it's his own really bad decisions that are catching up to him.

He decided to shoot for the stars and fight Golovkin. Props to him. But instead of understanding he's the smaller man and working on speed and technique, he decided to bulk up and came into the fight looking like Arnold and tried to trade. That didn't work and he got his eyes broken. Instead of letting his eye heal properly and stabilizing the weight, he challenges Spence and gets his other eye broken. He seemingly recognizes that he can no longer make 147, so he fights at 154 a bit, before being an idiot and going back down to 147 AGAIN. The weight that he has no business at, and the weight he was struggling to make 4 years ago.

Yeah, he's done. His bad decisions have caught up. Don't think there's a way to come back from this.

This right here. He sustained permanent damage from GGG. He cannot contend with elite fighters anymore and based on his reaction to that shot, he might well get hurt again by a nobody. Feel bad for him, but he had a very good career.

His boxing wasn't the problem though. He looked great boxing from mid-range for three rounds. It was his punch resistance that was the problem. Not sure you can train much for that, but maybe.
