David Allen has revealed his decision to retire from professional boxing. The 28-year-old heavyweight had been set to return to the ring on November 21 at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London. Allen (18-5-2, 15 KOs) was originally scheduled to box on the undercard of the heavyweight clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Derek Chisora on October 31 at the same venue.

He faced some big punchers and got a lot of damage. Smart move.

He's been a lot of fun but he's a bit too brave for his own good. Shame he never got to win the British.

One of the most popular bums in the sport thanks to Hearn.

Bless him. He gave it a honest run. Fought some big names. Got beat too much tho. Hope he has a great life. He had a career to be proud of.

Wasn’t a bum at all. Not the most skilled of fighters but could crack pretty good, took a hell of a punch, had heart, courage for days and always came to fight. Also a really nice kid more importantly and no where near a bum. I’d rather have him as a friend than a guy like you.

Nice bloke but I've been worried about his speech for a while.

Glad to hear he's retired. Hopefully he's got some money behind him.

Didn't he just say yesterday he was trying to get a fight with some Fabio kid?

And what even happened to that ******** accusation?

He still beat Browne more impressively than Whyte did
