Crawford is the same age as...

Right. You nailed it. Makes no sense. You see all the worthy names of WW in PBC, who fight on another network and only work with other networks when the fight is so big, that it’s worth it. And Crawford is by no means a big name fighter, he is nowhere near a big draw, at all. Literally no one else’s fault but his. Then the guy he was chasing after, Pacquiao, went to PBC because that is where all the worthy WW’s are. And you can’t really fault Pacquiao by going to a stable that has more name fighters at his weight class. A HOF’er/ATG like Pacquiao will not stay in TR just for a guy who is good but can’t draw.Ahhh, yes. The entire division pushed him to sign with TR and they alllllll use the across the street excuse...while fighting each other.
Mmhmm....yeah..... that’s what happened. Bud wanted those fights so bad he signed with a promoter who had zero of them... that’s a fine argument you have. His sole reason for signing a contract for years and multiple fights was to get a hold of one old manComment

They took more risk, we got to see where they truely stand in the divisions and in this generation.
Crawford has taken minimal risk. Trying to say where he is at compared to Spence involves a lot of speculation because he hasnt fought anyone good in a long time.Comment

Nah they just weren’t anywhere near as good.
Crawford won his lightweight title in the away corner and on away soil that was a risk, defended it against an undefeated Gamboa in a fight the bookmakers had as 50/50 another risk.
He then cleaned out 140, so you can’t complain about what risks he took at that weight class.
I agree his 147 run is kind of “meh” but he’s clearly done far more in his career than the likes of Alexander and Ortiz have.Comment

Damn. I had read that he was taking less than 2mil guarantee. Something like 1.75 or something of that nature as the guarantee since Brook had asked for more.
Thanks guys for clearing it up. My bad that I was wrong
Either way though...Still has to fight Brook twice to make what Spence is making in his next fight.Comment
