for example the top contenders when floyd left 130 were casamayor and freitas. a slick boxer and an explosive puncher/boxer. ok maybe it was a coincidence that he wanted to leave and go up in weight. then after beating castillo the top contenders were stevie johnston and spadafora. 2 slick boxers and southpaws. ok maybe its a coincidence he didnt want to fight them and fought other randoms like ndou and sosa instead before moving up in weight...to fight gatti, but as you can see there are a lot of coincidences in his career which cant really be considered coincidences after factoring in his own words and his own promoters words. then when he got to 147 it got really bad but thats another story. point is the fight would never happen...coincidentally im sure.
I can agree with all you said. Was never a big fan of Floyd, even moreso after his move to '47. I'm just saying he fought differently from 135 and below. And had he fought Pac in those weight classes I think it wouldve been a hugely different fight than their glorified sparring session at '47

I know this was hyped as the super fight of the generation but it wasn’t floyds style was always all wrong for pac he fought some great fighters but did he really fight master boxers? List them? The only way pac wins is if Floyd abandoned his style and fights like an idiot against pac

Manny got hit more because he was less refined and Mayweather was far stronger in the lower weights. Both would take their lumps but I think Manny would've at least been knocked down towards a Mayweather win.

Floyd would have an even greater advantage at the lower weights because he would still have his height and reach advantage. Let's remember that Erik Morales defeated Manny at 130 and Mayweather was even faster and more offensive back then. Manny was more dynamic but nowhere near as well-rounded as he eventually became.

If the junior lightweight versions of Floyd and Manny fought, I could see Manny landing a few straight lefts early before Floyd adjusts and takes it away. Floyd would land lead left hooks and jabs to the body to maintain distance and Manny would have to expose himself to counters to get inside.

                - -May ducks him and any with a pulse.

                Manny always better.
