Bridger Weight Class a Welcome addition To Our Sport

To much negativity in boxing,WBC is sort of funny but they got this one right . Like it or not the weight class is going to show why it was necessary and at the same time produce great potential fights for even current heavyweight fighters who would fight in it so the notion it separates good little guys is false .

Who are the potential fighters to really make good fights ?

Here’s just a random list of potential fights as proof and it would be a short cut to meaningful fights out of heavyweight that takes years to make .

    1. Usyk vs Wilder
    2. Okolie vs Breidas
    3.Morrison vs Conto
    4. Plechko vs Hunter
    5. Gassiev vs Romanov
    6. Povetkin vs ?

You guys can’t really be serious and tell me these wouldn’t be great fights for future reference even in different seclusion possibilities, I’m not to familiar with the current Cruiserweight division I’m sure there’s even better matches ,please list them . What about current heavyweights like Jennings or Babic ?

I think it is a really ****** unneeded idea that will fail and in 2 years or less these new weight classes will be gone. What good 224 pound fighter is going to stay at 224 and not fight as a full heavyweight for much more money and prestige? Cruiserweight was 190 in the beginning as a weight class for boxers who could not quite make 175 but did not want to fight 240 pound or bigger boxers. Unless the other 3 alphabet groups take cruiserweight down to 190 the WBC cruiserweight class of 190 probably will fail too.

It does have the possibility to have one benefit, and that is to remove the WBC as a major belt. Hopefully if the other bodies don't recognize this division, it will demote the WBC to a second tier belt and we will have just 3 belts WBA, WBO and IBF.

Nonsense. Joshua and Fury are top guys in sport and heavyweights want to fight them, not Conto and other mentioned.

This division is dead before it even started.
