LMAO. Imagine if Mike Tyson was on PBC commentary to say, “Al Haymon’s business is garbage if Spence vs Jermell Charlo doesn’t happen.”

There's nobody at 154, and barely anybody left at 160. You move up for big fights, not just to 'move up'. Plus his status as top dog of 147 is highly disputed by Crawford, who most see as the better fighter. Spence has 0 reasons to move up. Especially coming off a large accident like that.

Spence is only a big welterweight for this era, the previous welterweight era's Spence would be run of the mill. A 5'9 welterweight who can maybe move up to 154 is not that big of a welterweight. Tommy Hearns went from 147 all the way to Cruiserweight, that is a big welterweight.

Somehow I agree with Spence, he doesn`t need Crawford. But he does need to step up an challenge champions at 154 or 160. Because Spence is a big welterweight and he shouldn`t stay at 147.

If Spence wants at least the same legacy like Tito Trinidad has, he must do that.

Crawford already stepped up in division twice. Crawford needs top welterweight name ( Pacquiao, Spence, Danny, Porter) to gain something.
Spence is really a middleweight the guy walks around 185 to 190 than sucks down to welter to prey on smaller guys. He fought at 152 during the amateurs and how many years ago was that ?
