Boxrec weight division and pound for pound lists have always been way off, they're computed by some type of odd algorithm (through a points system) that never makes sense.

The algorithm goes by activity, types of opponents beat, and how long in the standings. I think he was removed specifically because of inactivity. I remember PAC being removed from BoxRec before the Thurman fight and then highly elevated thereafter. Or was it before the Broner fight, I don’t remember..

I'm telling you man, the algorithm is all over the place. If it's due to activity why don't they have Lomachenko on their top 25 list? They have Keith THurman on there who's last win was almost two years ago. And Kovalev is number 9. lmao

Because everyone checks daily to see what the BoxRec rankings are. It’s every young boxers dream to randomly shoot up their rankings.

Boxrec rankings are utterly bizarre. They've got Sergey Kovalev in the top ten but not Naoya Inoue.

They didn't 'remove him from the #1 ranking, man' they simply removed him from the list altogether for inactivity, same as do to every other fighter after they not fought for a year.

When he fights again he'll be reinstated at #1 though his score might be a little lower than it was. Not that Boxrecs P4P are particularly meaningful anyway of course.

EDIT: But yes, someone will get KOd I expect, Avni is pretty much tailor made, man.

What will be Canelo’s minimum guarantee for Yildirim? It can’t be PPV because PBC is crying that Plant PPV wouldn’t get ample time
