Caleb Plant hasn’t even insinuated what you’re insinuating, or else Plant in the last day would say Canelo wasn’t “offering properly” which hasn’t been the case.
This has nothing to do with GB or DAZN. He needs to make a deal to fight on a network. And he’s going to want to get paid handsomely. No network is going to want to put on a PPV event 6 weeks out. It’s not a proper amount of time to promote the fight. Even though Plant has come out saying he’s ready it’s not his decision to make.

Yes it is. B sides are extreme divas now, it’s not a coincidence both joshua and Canelo struggle to find guys that will take fights when you got b side after b side turning down career high paydays, there’s nothing more you can do but offer good money and a shot. These guys are happy to grab a paper belt and comfortable Making a few million fighting off cherry picks then daring to be great.

i doubt canelo is going with smith at this point, since he rejected dazn's $20 offer for that fight.
i'll be surprised if he takes that now.

So what's the problem with Canelo vs plant?

Smith was a 50% cut. That’s $17mil not $20mil. If you’re referring to DAZN’s latest attempts that included “equity” still meant Canelo was bound to GBP but with a revised contract. Canelo made it public that he was happy to finally be solo and his own promotional company.

With that being said, offers have completely different circumstances now given that Canelo has control of his own business since GBP doesn’t take a cut nor is a card from GBp reliant on Canelo. Hearn could stack a card of his own as co-promo but making sure Canelo is the main show

Hes not andy ruiz lmao.. he actually has a belt, an undefeated record and some buzz. Why jeopardize A LOT of future money to take a short notice fight? Makes no sense for plant unless he gets a full camp. Hes not an elite talent (as far as I've seen) for him to short himself on training for a fight of this magnitude

i thought you said the almighty Haymon would "force" Plant to take the fight to appease the god Canelo LMAOO

I told u Haymon can't force these fighters to do sht. Caleb already told Canelo to fck off once before and u thought he wouldn't do it again?

i would favor Canelo to win but it's shady as hell to just pluck Plant's name out on short notice. Caleb already proved he's not a whore for money like Kovalev who took the Canelo fight knowing he wasn't ready.

Canelo vs Ryder's leftover is still a decent fight. not mad at that
