i just don't get this one at all, i know these are strange times with the virus but isn't wilder a bit late on this one? He suddenly pops up making demands on a contract that seem's to have expired, i want to see III tho but i can see why fury would want joshua and not wilder again straight away, fury joshua is the fight to be made while they are both ready after big win's, the timing is right, wilder will get his shot again soon after

Comments Thread For: Wilder Taking Fury To Mediation in Attempt To Force a Third Fight

Originally posted by Zelda View PostIt appears, as of now, that both Wilder and Fury were OK with December but not the networks. Wilder was not OK with the original date of July due to injury.
If anything, the pandemic has changed almost all schedules. This cannot be an exception. So, a fair mediation, in my opinion, is to allow Fury to have his fight and stay busy (because things have delayed a lot) and then fight Wilder at the earliest convenient date in March or whatever is OK with the broadcasters. Besides, it is unlikely Fury-Joshua will happen behind closed doors so that can happen in late summer at the earliest.

I am not a Wilder fan whatsoever. However, I am glad he is doing this. Fury wants to sneak in another bum fight and then fight for all of the belts. He got out of his mandatory fight luckily and now he wants out of his rematch. Having a belt comes with responsibilities and fighting someone decent is one of them. Fury can't always do what he wants. Otherwise he would NEVER fight a decent boxer again.

I don't have a problem with Wilder exploring his legal options -- a court can ultimately determine whether he has a contractual right to a rematch, I'm cretainly not going to just takes Arum's word for it -- but it's also important that the Champion doesn't get blocked from fighting. I sympathise with Fury. He's 32, so he can't be putting his career on hold at this stage and I believe him when he says he needs to train and fight to stay on the straight and narrow from a mental health perspective.
He's said for a long time that he wants/needs to fight in December and was willing and ready to fight Wilder then. But Wilder has kept shctum until the last minute. Let Fury have his stay busy fight in December. Then if Wilder wants it and the court decides he has the contractual right, make the trilogy fight. If not, we get Fury vs Joshua.
What we can't have is Wilder just keeping Fury in limbo.

As crazy as it sounds, I still think Joshua/Wilder is the biggest fight in heavyweight boxing.

Who honestly wants to see this again?
I thought Fury tried to make it and Wilder’s team was the hang up?
Am I missing something here?
