Comments Thread For: Brook On Khan's Support: I Don't Know What To Say; Always Has Something Up His Sleeve

Kell Brook couldn't help but smile when he was asked about Amir Khan publicly supporting him in advance of his shot at Terence Crawford's WBO welterweight title. Those bitter British rivals have spent years talking trash about one another. Khan and Brook still haven't fought, but it remains a high-profile fight in the United Kingdom that interests both boxers.

Says a great deal about UK Boxing that these guy never fought.

How are you rivals that despise each other in the same weight class and at one time we’re even under the same promoter... yet nothing popped off?

Interesting that Bud has a rematch clause for this fight. I thought Bob Arum said there shouldn’t be rematch clauses in fights?

Did he specify that? I would like you to quote him where he specified that. Interim champions should have rematch clauses.

Khan is going against a guy who made him quit like a dog?? Doesn't make much sense to me, but have at it. No one in boxing quits from a low blow. When Zab hit Floyd low, that was a groin shot. When Jirov hit James Toney low, that was a groin shot. Those shots were devastating. They both fought on and won. Khan chose to quit, and it wasn't even dead in the groin. It was more on the thigh. And he didn't even take the full 5 minutes allowed to recover. He quit after around 2 minutes in the corner. Denied Bud from getting a clean knockout. What a dog

I like Brook more than Khan, was hoping he would have had his chance to KO that clown. Khan is simply backing Brook because Crawford embarrassed him and made him quit like a coward because no way was that fight going to end well for him otherwise.
