Why bother with a PPV having Canelo fight for a vacant title against a even lesser opponent than Rocky was. How bout Yildrim vs anybody fr the vacant title and have Nelo vs Plant then it's worth the PPV and the winners can unify against each other. I say let Benavidez beat Yildrims a$$ and then unify against the winner of Nelo and Plant. That clears the division up on this side of the pond anyways

Al Haymon is the briber. Yildirim wouldn’t get a huge purse anyways and Haymon gets to put his watermark, PBC logo, on a Canelo broadcasted fight. That’s the worst scenario if we can’t get a Plant fight. Stateside nobody knew who Liam Smith was yet it did 300K PPv. Canelo has grown his fanbase more since then. For Mexican buyers they’d be marketed that Canelo is fighting for the Super Middleweight title and the Mexican iconic WBC belt. This noise gets spread around. Basically the casual Mexican boxing fans just want to see Canelo smash an Arabic guy. Lol. Just like Mexican fans having wanted to see Canelo smash the Englishman man in Smith. 300k PPV doeComment

Bahahaha. Of course he does! That's winning the Canelo sweepstakes. He has no place in the ring with Canelo but now that Canelo is a free agent and DAZN has no say in his opponents, he probably will fight the Turkish Delight next. Pathetic.Comment

It will be 2021 before Alvarez fights again. Could be up to a year and a half since the Kovalev whupping. He has to get the ring rust off with someone. He is not going to jump right in to the more dangerous opponents. I am 100% find with Yildirim winning the Alvarez Sweepstakes and taking home a payday bigger than he would likely make in his entire career. It is a crap fight that under normal circumstances would not be worth the training camp it would take for Alvarez to prep for it. Just so far beneath him. But in this crazy world? Why not. Let's just get him back in the ring and out of litigation.Comment
