Canelo is a super middleweight and a big player at light heavy if he wants to be. Crawford could go to 160 on his best day and be a real small 160 so obviously they will never fight

Crawford cherry picks washed up Englishmen so of course he won't fight Canelo. He wouldn't fight Porter or Danny Garcia either and their asking price was reasonable. How many Canelo is so wonderful threads will you start today? Your usual dozen?

Yeah but Duran fought up to 168 and SRL and Crawford are about the same. Crawford might be a little bigger. Crawford was draining to make 135. In Duran or SRL days Crawford would’ve started at 147. Crawford can easily add muscle and can walk around to 175 no prob.

Too scurrd. But that fight would be great. Good thing is that he does need a Canelo fight. There are already a ton of fighters in his current division to fight.

The context is weight. Who’s to say Crawford “isn’t” a Middleweight or can’t hit a 168 scale when he can easily walk that weight and adding bulk. Duran wasn’t initially a stocky guy like when he fought Barkley. He was still able to hold his own. Similar to how RJJ could fight moving up and Toney. Everything is weight mgmt

I don't understand the logic of some fans who think a fighter must be forced to fight in a division where he gives up every possible advantage and stands little to no chance of winning. Only ones doing that are desperate for a big payday. Just because Khan could fight at 160 doesn't mean he should have. Duran fought at 168 but he was clearly not at his best, just a shell of his former self. I think Crawford could do well at 154, maybe competitive at 160 against smaller MWs, but that's it. Even though he walks around 180+, he knows his limitations.
