It was recently announced that the New Zealand grudge match pitting Joseph Parker (27-2) against Junior Fa (19-0) would be pushed back a day from its original Friday, December 11th date to Saturday, December 12th. The change in the date was made by the event organizers to avoid a conflict with All Blacks' Rugby Championship fixture.

How do you get ranked at #6 without ever facing a top 50 fighter. Boxing is a joke.

Fa's best wins were decision victories against a 44 year old Dominic Guinn and Devin Vargas (who Big **** Zhang just stopped).

I know they split in the amateur ranks and Parker almost always seems to underwhelm but Fa has done nothing in his professional career to make me think he can beat Parker. I'm still looking forward to the fight because I always enjoy regional rivalries but I have a feeling it will be an underwhelming affair.

Junior Fa is barely ShoBox level. If he beats Parker it doesn't mean Fa is ready for a title shot, it means Parker should retire. This fight is a farce and Fa has no business in the ring with Parker.

As I've always said, Parker doesn't get the kudos he deserves for taking the tough fights and staying busy.

Fa may still be a prospect, but a guy that big that knows how to box with Islander blood is always a threat. These guys are born warriors.

Parker has done everything asked of an HW titlist: He's stayed busy, he's taken tough fights, he's travelled to defend his belt (Hughie Fury), my only semi criticism of him is he hasn't yet settled into a style that promotes his strengths.

He started out as a puncher/boxer, then when the competition stepped up he tried to become a boxer/counter-puncher, which doesn't suit him.
I'm not sure what style is best for him - but I'm damn sure it's not as a boxer.

Very good fight here. Fa is a huge guy, Parker the better boxer overall. Both are better than most hw right now. I'd like to see the winner vs Usyk.

I hate the idea of a champion being stripped for taking a unification over a mandatory, but if it has to happen then the Parker/Fa winner deserve the call a lot more then the DDD/Jug winner. "Bollox to the WBO"!

Parker has very good fundamentals which makes me think he is more suited to being a boxer........ but he needs to add an aggressive streak and be explosive.

If you could put Mike Tyson's brain in Parker (stay with me here)..... he would work on that and become a beast. He has the size and strength to be a destroyer, but does not seem to go into fights with that mindset.

He could become a bull with the right training, and seek&destroy if he wanted, but he seems content boxing and keeping out of range.

Neither man has lived up the the hype and Parker he disappointed the most. His passive mindset holds back his talent
