Any way that we can actually protest or boycott this nonsense?

If cruiser had an image and money making issue for like the first 20 years of its existence, this will surely be just as fringe. If they wanted to roll cruiser back to 190 and maybe do a 190-205 or so, maybe. This is just wrong

I am speechless. What needs to happen is for every boxer to turn the WBC belt down. I mean, is anyone really surprised with this nonsense? Unbelievable!!!! What a freaking joke!

Hopefully the legitimate smaller heavyweights will simply say screw this and continue to go for the heavyweight title.

There is no minimum weight. If a fight is sanctioned at heavyweight, and one of the guys feels like he wants to come in at 199 lbs, so what ?

I’m sure if Usyk weighed in at 195 he could still fight for the heavyweight title. So same concept here.

But I certainly agree that this née division is crap.

              Probably charge sanctioning fees too.

These guys have been responsible (as well as countless others) for tarnishing boxing’s reputation.
And as a big fan of the “sport” (which it most certainly is not)
I find the way it’s run to be a complete joke.

It has such massive potential to be something special. The science of boxing is just a beauty to behold. But unfortunately, it’s just the business of entertainment. And cash is king. Look at how many cracks some spoiled fighter like JCC jr gets at title shots
                  Just pathetic.

And here and there, are good fights worth watching (like Lopez vs lomachenko most recently) . And then there’s the 90% of shlt for the remainder.
And then when a fighter loses, he’s treated like trash, like Loma, even after a closely contested fight.

Create more divisions, create more belts. Celebrate “multi weight” champions. Accumulate sanctioning fees. Create emeritus champion, interim champion, undisputed, regular champion, super champion, diamond champion, franchise champion. The list goes on.

And to think, fans will **** on when they use the argument for their
favourite fighters that they took on the “most champions of any title holder” like Mayweather etc.
                  Fkn lol

                  Okay that’s enough negative rant.
WBC used to be the most respected of all the belts. Not anymore
