Want to see Spence vs Crawford? Then FOX or ESPN should make deals with the promoters that reward unifications and punish showcase fight blowouts.[/QUOT

Yep, if the promoters take any bit of a chance , then there's a rematch clause in there , when really a fighter has won and isn't allowed to go about his business unless he wins again? Eddie Hearn just wants there to be one promoter (him) .....can you imagine ! come back Don King all is forgiven.
So Spence won't fight Crawford .. Eddie Hearns fault .. there is a flaw in your logic.

Rematches are annoying but I would suggest it makes it more likely Spence and Crawford would fight with a rematch clause.

What you want is fighters fighting each other so much and no one caring about losses that rematch clauses become redundant. If for example you removed the rematch clause from Whyte vs Povetkin the effect would be Whyte doesn't fight Povetkin and would fight say Flores which Ortiz took. Helenius vs Knowacki is another example (in that case Helenius had to agree to another PBC fight of Al s choosing). Arums just as bad by the way, Lomachecko had one no rematch clause fight because Top Rank owned both fighters.

There's two ways to look at this, as far as why Crawford has not fought any of the top PBC 147 lbers. On one hand you can say Top Rank and Bob Arum has not negotiated hard enough with PBC. Or, you can say PBC has kept their 147 lb fighters away from Crawford. In my heart, and I could be wrong, I think it's the later. But truthfully, this whole thing is boxing, as a sports fault. All these promotional companies have big interest, money and their own self preservatives tucked into their top fighters and simply put, NONE of them really want to risk their top fighters losing. This is bad for boxing and ultimately bad for Terrance Crawford.

Duck Crawford should've never signed with massa Arum if he wanted the PBC smoke.

After awhile, several years now for Terrance, if the fighter isnt fighting the best, there's a reason. Sometimes the fighter has to show that he wants to fight the best.

Crawford has shown no particular desire, from the looks of things, to challenge himself. He picked the weakest champion at WW in Jeff Horn.

Contrast this with Porter, DSG, and Errol. Win or lose, I believe that they will fight anyone. Even Brook has shown to at least try to dare to be great.

Crawford will continue to make good money in Nebraska, but at this point in his career that looks about it.

This would ring true except for one name...Shawn Porter who PBC has approached on. Crawford nor Arum wanted any part of it.

That part! That is why Canelo should be seen as P4P #1 Boxer in the world!

Even Thurman who people believed to be the weaker of the bunch has fought them.

Crawfords out of excuses. Hes definitely a good fighter but a fighter is only as good as the competition he faces.. he has fought nothing but cherry's

Crawford state's that "he has all the God given talent in the world", which might be true, but as long as he never puts that talent against the cream of the crop, we will never know how good he is, therefore I can't rank him P4P best until he does, it's really that simple. In this day and age a bunch of paper titles being picked up doesn't mean anything unless you are beating quality opponents when you win those titles. As far as the PBC thing, there's plenty of blame to go around on both sides, but Crawford had the opportunity to fight Porter instead of Brook and well, we know who they picked, so it's not just PBC, Crawford had the opportunity to make a big statement with Porter and he picked another road, that says something in my opinion, and I don't want to hear that Porter was his friend, this is business and you have to take care of it.

I really think that Crawford thought re-signing with Arum, and the ESPN deal, would make fighters leave PBC! They did, and went to DAZN! He definitely didn't think Pacquiao would go to PBC? Now if Crawford wants a fight, it has to be a co-promotion, and that takes a lot of money for the networks to co-operate! FOX and ESPN are rivals in the sports world, so Crawford has kind of hurt himself! Hindsight is 20/20!

The Great fighters win and won convincingly in the fights they should win. They don’t have off nights, underwhelming performances. They dominate. Crawford has done this. He is a great fighter. Just how great? Well, he hasn’t fought anyone good enough to show that. Crawford hasn’t fought anyone good enough to show what kind of mettle he has, how good his chin is etc. I have a hard time ranking him really high on my P4p list because of this, though I do consider him a great fighter.
