who knows what their paying GGG, they refused to pay Canelo the agreed purse as per the contract and GB tried to stiff him on $100M behind his back. They promised him a Canelo fight and if he signed with them and failed to deliver.Comment

Not necessarily. If the fighter’s always in the gym and the same physique- as Canelo has been with his social media sharing - then he’s in primal mode. There are plenty of boxers whom don’t have pro fights a whole year with no camps, minimum training, and it shows when they return. Those are the ideal situations of ring rustComment

If Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's next opponent is Caleb "Sweet Hands" Plant, thats a very good, and a step in the right direction. To be fair Canelo's last 3 opponents were decent matches, 2 were current champions, and the other was a former champion. The problem was the waiting game to find out who it was that he was fighting, after a date was announced. Like he was giving his unknown opponent a winning lottery ticket, to millions. Then not fighting GGG for the 3rd anxiously awaited fight by the fans, while GGG still was a force to be reckoned with was unforgettable, if not unforgivable. Top that off with the fighter from Turkey who he was planning on facing, before the split with Golden Boy, and DAZN. His career just wasn't going in the right direction, for someone who considers himself the best fighter pound for pound in the world. He can retain that title if he starts with Plant, then Jermall Charlo, and finally Demetrius Andrade those are the top tier fights fans are waiting for. A Billy Joe Saunders thrown in there would be acceptable, but he should take on 2 of the 3 stated before that. David Benevides, Artur Beterbiev, and Dmitry Bivol, would be the epitome of excellence for Canelo. No one would be able to question Canelo's supremacy if he fought, and beat most of those fighters. He wouldn't have to beat all of them as long as he was competitive in those bouts.
Only fight I'm not ok with is the Beterbiev one, I do like the Bivol because Bivol is amore of a natural SMW, Beterbiev fought his amateur as a Cruiserweight where he beat Usyk and other notables names, I just don't think it's fair to put a fighter who started his career as a Junior Welter to fight a natural Cruiserweight but it's just me.
But asides from that I do love all those names you threw around and I do hope he fights them in the next years.Comment
