Povetkin is a level above Ortiz based on resume and experience........ that is not to say Ortiz is shiat, he just does not have anywhere close to the level of competition.

I think Povetkin would KO Ortiz badly if they fought.

It's not really a fair comparison. Ortiz is a good HW and gave Wilder all he could handle that first fight. Povetkin on the other hand has been beating top 10 guys for over a decade, and is probably broadline HOF on resume alone(Froch lvl). Ortiz would most likely beat Povetkin head to head if they fought now, but Povetkin's career is LEAGUES better than Ortiz's.

There’s clearly difference in body types ,Ortiz has the old man skin sag and Povetkin is still a physical specimen . They aren’t the same age ,it’s clear . Ortiz for 50 may look better per age if this is the case but he doesn’t look better in or out of the ring then Povetkin, fighting far less skilled guys doesn’t get him that .

As far as resumes ,age isn’t the issue ,if you are going on just a resume ,Ortiz is terrible . Age wouldn’t be a factor for excuses .
