What would he sue Hearn for? He isn't signed to Matchroom. Hearn might not be willing to give him any fights at the moment, but he is free to work with any other promoter he wants.

If that's the case he should definitely auction his services to the highest bidder and should have done it after the Beterbiev loss.

Well Smith should have got a great purse out of the Canelo fight. I suspect Walsh probably didn't as Tank was relatively unknown back then. Not sure about what has happened with Walsh. Maybe the issue is these fighters ask too much although Callum is saying that's not the case. Flanagan had a very good run as champ and then went for the title again didn't he so I don't see him as comparable.

Joe Gallagher Always comes across as an arrogant and deluded man. He was giving Callum Smith the same advice vs Ryder that Ritson's corner gave him in their fix.

Sounds like he is unhappy with the purse for the fights he's been offered. That's a whole other thing doe. And do we even know that he's getting worse percentage cuts in his offers than other guys? The word has been guys will be getting less money fighting without crowds. It's not like Callum is the lone guy experiencing this.

Obviously I don't know where he stands contractually but Johnson might need to look at changing both manager and promoter.

Reading that interview he seems to favour Gallagher which might a mistake, although it does look like he's an afterthought to hearn.

I think the offer gives them the best opportunity to make the most money. 3 fights would have it land in the summer, probably the soonest you could look for them to be fighting in a fully open 02.
