This should be the new standard for anyone pushing 50 wanting to make a comeback. You wanna humiliate yourself? Why not go all out.

Exactly. Intriguing for fans to see two returning fighters measured against each other. As long as it isn’t just too completely washed up guys trying to get a pay check. But that makes too much sense, so I doubt it will happen. I thought Sergio looked good in his return. Of course he looked like he was wearing roller skates vs Cotto. My dad told me Sergio was leaking oil before that fight and I should have believed him. I was a bit concerned when he wouldn’t let anyone see him actually train on camera, plus I saw a picture of him prior looking very chubby for a guy known for his conditioning. You live, you learn. I wouldn’t want to underestimate Oscar, he fought everyone, and truly is a great fighter with heart. But a comeback against a top guy right away at this age and long lay-off is hard to get behind. I understand if he loses he can say he fought the best and that’s who he is, and maybe if he even over preforms that’s a bit of a victory. But I’d much rather see him in a fight that would be closer on Vegas odds, if there is one. I’m with you, I don’t see anything more intriguing than Sergio Martinez. If not, then just fight Canelo or GGG. He could steal a round from GGG with a good jab maybe. Anywho I’ll believe it when he gets in the ring.
