Bronx2245 it all depends on who gets the title shot first, and against whom. Matias might only be a fight, or two from challenging for the title. Verdejo on the other hand might be two, or three fights from challenging for a title. I would definitely like to see both Matias, and Verdejo rematch the opponents that gave them their first loses. It is important to their careers, and their fans that they show that they are betters fighters than their conquerors. I honestly believe that they are better fighters than Petros Ananyan, and Antonio Lozado. By the way i actually thought that Matias, had scored enough points to win the decision against Ananyan.

I want him to avenge the loss, but at this point, that might be a step backwards?

Nakatani will presents similar issues as Lozado, but this time around I believe that Verdejo has a different mind set. This new Cuban trainer will bring out the best of Verdejos abilities. When Verdejo fought Lozado, he was also at odds with his manager at that time. That manager is the same one that Christopher "Pitufo" Diaz, split from as well. Verdejo is no longer burdened by that vulture, now he can concentrate on his fights, and focus on his career. If I'm correct Verdejo will do what Teofimo wasn't able to do knockout Nakatani. Then in his next fight he should go after Lozado, and avenge his loss against him in Madison Square Garden where it took place. That would be the perfect place, and the perfect date would be 6/5/2020 the day before the Puerto Rican Day Parade.

I really believe Verdejo is a lot better now with his new trainer. Not only have we seen the results last 2 fights but I've seen many interviews with Salas and he always speaks very highly of him . Says talent wise he's up there with anyone

The way I see it there appears to be a lot of fans, including myself who want to see them avenge their losses. It would also be good for Matias, and Verdejo to avenge their losses. Verdejo complained when the referee stopped the fight in the last round, and Matias yelled out when the ref called a knock down against him. These two reactions from both Matias, and Verdejo lead me to believe that they both were upset the with the outcomes of their fights. So much so that they want to get even with their perspective opponents. It's always good for fighters to even the score against their protagonists, and maybe beat them more decisively. That way those fighters can't brag about beating them, because they lost in return bouts to them.
