If he was a cherrypicker, then surely at least one boxer had to have beaten better opposition from 2010-2020, right?

I'm so confused, please make it make sense. Thanks

I think the argument most people make is that he fought big names but not at their best every time and those big names made him the award.

Hmm, I just did a quick Google search and it looks like all of those names were champions and top 2 in their division when Mr. Floyd fought them..?

But surely someone from 2010-2020 had to have beaten better opposition than a cherrypicker....right?

      This is confusing

Honestly. He only got it because PBC was founded in ‘15, which near brought the sport to a halt with it’s cross of the street and cherrypicking.

The names are undeniable, the challenge is undeniable, the feat is undeniable.

But anybody that knows boxing knows that his record is questionable due to numerous circumstances from the shots in his hand to continue since he broke them tough against Famoso Hernandez. To the actual time each fight took place.

De La Hoya arguably Mayweathers toughest challenge was well past it for 1 of numerous examples.

Still Mayweather is great but not top 20 ATG for me.

              - -JoyBoy weren't good enough for the 90s(Roy) or the 00s(Manny) so he greased the grazing herd of BWAA FOD spread for that mediocre year that saw him finish up against McG and Berto and Tenshin.

A few $hundred K of good grub in a luxury setting = FOD.

              Simples...

If yo don't consider boxing politics, bribery, corruption, etc. it's easy to be confused at some of the arcane decisions and choices of those who rule boxing.
