It is strange... I remember him winning in Rio but completely blanked on him after and had zero idea he was rising up the ranks in the pros. Hammer is a solid "C" level fighter these days. He will make him work. How well he handles Hammer- who is seasoned and will be solid- will tell a ton. I am interested.

I'm glad that Christian can still make some money from Boxing after Tyson Fury robbed him of his big chance to face Wladimir Klitschko and the biggest purse of his life, no doubt.

I remember when Tyson Phooey robbed Hammer in 2015 in a WBA-WBO title eliminator by juicing up like the Hulk and trying to use tampered-gloves before referee Marcus McDonnell -- if drugs was not bad enough.

I find hope that if Tony Yoka gets caught doping, that the French Boxing Federation will maintain its integrity, unlike the BBBofC. The French Boxing Federation, actually suspended their gold-medalist Tony Yoka for failing to provide a urine sample.

If Tyson Phooey had been a Frenchman, he would of never been able to take the short-cuts that got him to a championship title fight.

Tyson Phooey should give Christian Hammer a rematch, but Tyson would probably cheat him in the second fight like he did fat John McDermott. So the Gypsy-Bum's record should read a loss to John McDermott I, and a no-contest vs. Christian Hammer.
