Yeah I don't get it. In this era of mismatches and cherry picks and all that it seems like a good fight to me. Even if he thinks Valdez is gonna get blasted out it woulda been a great action packed fight while it lasted I'm sure.Comment

yeah but keep in mind Covid may have also become an exploitation method for fighters to delay a fight or promoters having doubts to reschedule matchmaking. Promoters can persuade fighters of a better gameplan.
Let's look at the Povetkin report. They merely delayed it a month in January though he was ''hospitalized.'' If you're ''hospitalized'' that means you have a bad state of covid whereas many can easily stay home and be isolated with general week recovery. Being in a hospital can cause complications or news for prolonged stay etc.. Realistically that doesn't make any sense with camps. Povetkin can't just come back in January if he's being hospitalized now unless his team feel their camp is perfectly fine.
I'm betting it's Matchroom figuring alternative plans aside from Fury Kabayel date. I wouldn't single out a Whyte Fury potential bout. Hearn has to do his best to make that fight and lash out something nice for Arum and Fury. Notice the connection with Top Rank acknowledging a possible Hearn proposal..with Top Rank following influence with Berchelt.Comment
