Chisora in some ways has exposed Usyk 'His skills and abilities are not as deep as some people believed'.
Usyk fought the same way he did at cruiser. Angles, accurate shots, decent speed. For a guy that's too small, not that skilled and with not enough power, he almost had Chisora out of there.

He's no Lomachenko, but he's still an extremely skilled and intelligent fighter. He'll beat all but a few of these heavyweights.

The work Chisora did on the inside was just an attempt at roughhousing. There was nothing serious there and Usyk never looked trouble. He'd just stay low, keep his chin tucked, and weather the mini storm. Besides the minor roughhouse tactics in clinched and the three or four overhand rights that Chisora landed, Usyk had it his own way. I think there was one punch in the entire fight that actually caught Usyk's attention, and even then, it didn't trouble him.

I see Usyk doing much better in the division than a lot of people think.
Usyk got hit with some nice punches inside and had no answer back except to hold. You have to be able to fight in the clinch against bigger men. He clearly didn't like some of the body shots.

I didn't think Usyk looked good apart from rounds 7 and 8. All the other rounds he was on his bike and getting clipped. He landed some good shots but he was clearly uncomfortable and never looked (apart from 7 and 8) in control of the fight. Chisora is old slow and never that good to begin with.

He was extremely tentative for the first 4 rounds and didn't want to commit to his punches because he didn't like what was coming back. He only started to put more in to his shots once he saw Chisora was badly tiring.

Usyk ain't that great. He's very good but not that good

He has fought the same way, because he cannot adapt 'This is a sign of a fighter not really having a varied skill-set'.

He did not have Chisora nearly out of there, at any point in the fight.

Stop mentioning size, I have never seen so many predetermined excuses 'He weighs over 200 pounds, therefore he is a heavyweight'.

I commend Usyk for moving into the heavyweight division.

I doubt I'd pick him against Fury or Joshua, but against anyone else I probably would. One thing that stood out to me is his footwork, he really glides across the ring and he's always in control of the space. I think he's even better than Fury in that regard.

Them punches on the inside we're nothing. More of an annoyance than anything. I doubt Usyk will fight on the inside with any heavyweight to be fair, it's too dangerous. So holding and tucking his chin in was a smart tactic; it completely nullified anything effective.

Usyk never looks good in the first part of the fight, he's a notorious slow starter. He was the same at cruiserweight. But even with Chisora putting it on him, I don't think he looked uncomfortable in the slightest.

I guess we both saw the fight differently

Adapt to what? He easily won the fight with no noticeable trouble lol don't fix what isn't broken.

And yea, he really did nearly have him out of there. Sometime after the sixth he put it on Chisora, backed him up, and landed clean punches...then the bell rang. Chisora wasn't looking steady on his legs walking back.

I mentioned his size because that's what everybody is saying. "He's too small. He's not that skilled. He doesn't hit hard". Evidence proves the opposite.

I'm not convinced he is going to be a factor in the HW division. I can't see him beating Fury, AJ or Wilder. I can't really see him beating Parker or Ruiz either.
