Usyk fought a 36 year Chisora who came into the fight with 9 losses and was able to dictate the pace of the fight til he gassed out half way through the 2nd round. LOL
Seriously, Usyk might do good at heavyweight because the division is weak right now but he lacks power at heavyweight and if you can't keep a good puncher off you eventually it's lights out.

Usyk should stay away from Dubois , is he wants to stay alive.

When Usyk fights a hard puncher, it will be like Canelo -Khan. Usyk will play Khan role.

in this day and age 6-2 and 215 is hardly a heavyweight unfortunately

you could tell he was the far superior fighter but just the size alone was making him run around to avoid power shots

he won easily IMO but he would be in big trouble against Fury. Joshua is a bit of a stiff so he could possibly beat him

Fury could box his ears off all night long or just bully him far, far worse than Chisora did. He needs to put weight on stat, but then his frame isn't that big (narrow shoulders/small back).

That new 'super cruiserweight' division or whatever seems like a gift sent from the heavens for Usyk, as I don't think he can beat Fury (both Tyson AND Hughie), AJ, Whyte, Povetkin, Dubois, Ruiz, Wilder (can probably outbox but ultimately gets caught) and quite a few others. I think Hunter beats him at HW and we'll wait and see what Gassiev is like at HW, who I always thought would make a better HW than Usyk as he has power and is improving as he is young.

I said before the fight that if Usyk can't style on Chisora then he won't make it at HW and I stand by that. If he gets bullied by Chisora, who to be fair was in amazing shape, then he gets bullied by a myriad of other HW's.

revelated our bet was a waste of time - I can't honestly say who won. I thought 7-5 Usyk and two judges thought the same, but you could easily make the case for a draw, EASILY. Maybe my eyes need checking because the commentators seemed to be watching another fight, I thought Chisora took the first 4 rounds no question. Depends on how you score aggression vs effective striking. In any case if Chisora won you couldn't call it a robbery.
I thought CHISORA was up by 4th round with 4-0. At worst 3-1.
He won round 9 clearly. Some other rounds like 12 was even, can go either way.
In general I think uysk won 7-5 but I can't argue if IRS scored a draw.
Great fight. I believe CHISORA would have win clearly If he had a better engine. He was chasing all around the ring. He gassed after 5 rounds.
I guess his game plan was to go for the KO within 5 rounds.

Let’s be honest he didn’t look great. He’s always had a leaky defence and is susceptible to counter right hands.

Chisora with his incredibly slow punches was having success outboxing him from outside. He also clearly didn’t like the power and was moving a lot.

Against the quicker heavyweights with fast straight punches and long jabs he gets stopped.

Pretty much what I expected from Usyk so I wasn't impressed or disappointed.
If I were his team I'd get him a CW that moved up to HW for his next fight.
But then again. I'd still view Hunter and Gassiev as risky fights for him at HW.
IMO Usyk's in a tough spot if he wants his next opponent to be a Credible HW

When he'll be fighting against someone better than Chisora, it may become a classic case of "he can run, but he can't hide".

Naw not impressed. He is like brain damage waiting to happen if he continues to fight at HW.

Name a HW who applies pressure better than Chisora? The other top HW's don't have that style so Usyk will have more time and space which serves him well.

Nope, boring fight with lots of running on Usyk part.

Usyk is undersized at HW, he'll have to use the Evan Fields formula to be effecitve at HW.
